Much like the real-life roster, the level of talent on display is impossible to deny. It features a stacked roster of current superstars and well as a smattering of legends (many of which are locked behind a paywall). WWE 2K20 presents itself as a wrestling simulation and a celebration of all things WWE. WWE 2K20 is a video game so bad that it should be Old Yeller’d and the people that allowed its release and encouraged folks to spend up to $99.99 on it should be ashamed (though one would likely have to be incapable of feeling shame to offer this garbage up for sale in the first place). After all, the fans are idiot marks that allowed WWE and its video game licensors to shovel excrement onto their plates for years. ![]() It features the most promising roster in history, yet manages to squander it with incompetence, all while expecting fans to lap it up like they always do. ![]() However, players shouldn't overlay a character's entire face over their CAWs as it'll come out heavily distorted.WWE 2K20 closely aligns with much of the current WWE onscreen product. These can also be used for skin details, like unique eye patterns or face markings. For example, if there's a particular shirt that would match the character, but it's missing some fine details, custom logos are the way to go. Outside of just picking the right parts, using custom logos can really help bring a fictional character to life in-game. It's also important to have a strong handle on the face morphing tools. If the character needs hair, things tend to get a bit more complicated, as many of the full-face coverings can be used with hair. CAW creators tend to gravitate towards the bobblehead options, as they can work as efficient blank slates onto which uploaded images can be placed onto. It comes down to a lot of tweaking and experimentation to figure out what CAW parts can be combined to nail a certain look.Ī few tips include using the hardware and mask options for characters who have non-human head shapes. There are already some pretty impressive customs of fictional characters on WWE 2K22's community creations, though they're not as easy as they look to build. WWE 2K22 carried over a lot of the more fantastical CAW parts from WWE 2K20, which is great news for anyone who wants to recreate their favorite fictional characters. Players shouldn't be afraid to tweak colors slightly for different sections of a piece of gear, since that can help make things like tights or trunks look more dynamic. Even in those situations, they should be used sparingly. ![]() If a piece of wrestling gear is going to have plastic or metallic material applied to it, brighter colors can actually work out pretty well. A good trick is to reference some of the items under the WWE category in WWE 2K22's Create-a-Wrestler mode, noting what kinds of colors they use.Īs mentioned, vibrant colors can work when used right. ![]() While there are certainly instances where a more vibrant color works, toning things down with duller colors will help a character's outfit blend in with the rest of the game. Once in-game, face scan photos will also look a bit brighter than they are and any bright lighting spots will be intensified. It also helps to adjust the lighting and coloring of the face scan, removing any bright or dark spots. This'll create a gradient of sorts that'll allow the face scan photo to blend seamlessly into the CAW's skin tone. Using a photo-editing program, players should smear the edges of the face out into the background. So it's best to do a little photo editing after taking or finding a picture to ensure the best possible quality. Similarly, uneven lighting over the edges of the face will make blending it with the custom character's skin next to impossible. If the light over the face is uneven, it'll cause bright white spots to appear on the CAW's face that gives it a plastic look. Lighting is the biggest thing to keep an eye out for, whether players are taking photos or finding old ones to use.
